I first met my ex-boyfriend while a sophomore in college & he was a senior. We first started as BUDDIES but our relationship quickly blossomed & we had a relationship for nearly 5 years. After graduation & entering the real world of a lack luster job, our relationship began to get very rocky for several reasons. Just before our 5 year mark, I asked for time off. We both were not happy individually or together. I was hoping the time apart would allow us to work on our personal issues & solidify our relationship.

Zoe "Everyone Else Can Go F–k Themselves"
Posted by: BlogXilla
Zoe Saldana grabs onto Aussie co-star Sam Worthington at the premiere of their new James Cameron-director film Avatar in Tokyo on Saturday (October 17).
Zoe recently told Esquire, “Sam is very manly. There’s something about Aussies. They’re potent and intense but also very giving. Australian men remind me of Dominican men, I guess. They come here and all they have is the shirt on their back and passion, and it’s like everyone else can go f–k themselves. I love that.”

X-Xilla Rated Pics Of The Week **PHOTOS**
Posted by: BlogXilla
This week we saw a lot of celebrity skin, read about divorce papers, and seen the return of an urban legend put on hold and delayed. Despite all of this I was still able to gather the sexiest pics of the week. So buckle up and lets take a ride back down the week that was… very X Xilla Rating. (Green text is a link to the full story)
Kendra Wilkerson boobs got bigger this week, making her think she was going to explode… She wanted to get a reduction, but instead she released pics of when her boobs were smaller. One of the side effects were a lot of men thought they would explode.
Christina Millian isn’t letting that baby bump keep her from popping that thing like… as she was out and about dancing and showing the world her beautiful pregnant glow. For more pics of C-Milli Click Here
Also this week Rihanna outed Katy Perry as her wh*re friend, and it seems like Russell Brand got the memo because he wifed her. *Sidenote* I always thought that the muppets were freaks, maybe Katy is trying to tell her something. Either way we love it.
Russell Simmons reminded us that his girlfriend Julie Henderson is one of the hottest women on the planet as almost every day this week there was a different picture of her on the beach looking amazing. You all do know he sleeps on a bed of models and memory foam right?. Happy Birthday Rush!
Jay-Z already told us he wanted to rhyme like Common and I’m willing to put money on a bunch of other men wishing they were him after he had both Ashanti & Eve on his arm. Not to mention Common’s girlfriend is naked on the cover of ESPN the magazine this month.
I told y’all Aubrey was sending twitpics of her whooty, but she also sent out some great shots of her other body parts as well. We love you Aubrey, thank you for giving us… You.
I really need to start watching 30 Rock. Really. Katrina Bowden took some time off from filming the sitcom to enjoy a nice day on the beach. You can see all of her photos via the Superficial.
I told y’all Julie Henderson and Russell Simmons were on the beach all week right? She likes to read crime novels while taking in some sun.
*Note to self* Watch more 30 Rock because Katrina Bowden is hot!.
Coco & Amber got to know each other a little better at the Good Hair Party. Also Coco took Aubrey’s lead and sent out some of the sexiest twitpics in the history to twitpicdom. You can see them all here.
Teairra Marie reminded me how much women love a sponsor when she dropped her new song SPONSOR f. Gucci Man & Soulja Boy. She told me on twitter I give a bit too much information in my twitter messages, but I still love @Teairra_Monroe you should follow her.
Rihanna was overseas this week showing the world that SHE IS FASHION WEEK. It’s been rumored that Justin got a lap dance from Riri that made Grandma speak to the press. That must of been one heck of a dance.
Usher called the cops, Nicki is a 5 star chick and Tameka wrote a blog. This has been on amazing week, and we know next week will only be better.
Until then this is Xilla the gossip and entertainment editor signing off.

Hip Hop Honors 2009: Celebrating Def Jam Records’ Movers & Shakers
What started out as enterprising inspiration in a New York University dorm room 25 years ago is now home of the greatest names in the history of hip-hop, rap and R&B; Def Jam Recordings.
A treasure trove of artists from LL Cool J and The Beastie Boys to Rihanna and Kanye West, and dozens more, have all help make the record company the most durable brand in hip hop.
And the 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors celebrates it all during a glitzy affair set to air on Oct. 13 at 9 p.m.
But as should be known, there’s a lot of people on the back end who played a major part.
And not just Russell Simmons, either.
Blackvoices.com pays homage to the 25 movers and shakers who helped shape Def Jam Recordings over the past 25 years.

Mariah Through The Years:
For Mariah Carey, having more number one songs than any solo artist in America has been a credit to the company that this five-time Grammy winner has kept since making her music debut in 1990. From people behind the scenes like L.A. Reid and Jermaine Dupri to some of her past loves like Tommy Mottola, Derek Jeter and now husband Nick Cannon, each man has played a significant role in inspiring the music that has made this 39 year-old singer/songwriter famous. Blackvoices.com takes a look at the men who have inspired Mariah Carey over the years.Tommy Mottola – Husband
No one is more responsible for Mariah Carey’s success than former Columbia Records head Tommy Mottola. After receiving Carey’s demo from artist Brenda K. Starr, for whom Carey sang backup, he signed her on the spot. While recording her 1990 debut, the two became romantically involved and tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 1993. Just three short years later, they split, and a divorce was finalized in 1998.Luther Vandross – Musical Collaborator
The five-octave singer was fortunate enough to be one of the few entertainers to record a duet with the late Luther Vandross. Their cover of Lionel Richie and Diana Ross‘s ‘Endless Love’ became Vandross’ biggest pop hit. It was the second single released from his ‘Songs’ album and was also included on two Carey albums: ‘Greatest Hits’ in 2001 and ‘The Ballads’ in 2008.Trey Lorenz – Backup Singer
In 1992, Carey performed an MTV ‘Unplugged’ special to show nonbelievers that she was not a studio singer. Her cover of the Jackson 5‘s ‘I’ll Be There’ with her longtime backup singer Trey Lorenz was later released as a single and became a number-one hit in the United States. Lorenz was able to score a record deal from the duet, and Carey co-produced his debut. On July 7 of this year, the two performed the song at the Michael Jackson memorial, which was held at the Los Angeles Staples Center.Jermaine Dupri – Producer
It’s not a well-known fact that Jermaine Dupri has been working with Carey for nearly 15 years. In 1995, Carey worked with the So So Def Records founder on ‘Always Be My Baby,’ from her ‘Daydream’ album. It became the most successful record on U.S. radio that year. And though these two worked on several remixes together over the years, their magic came a decade later when J.D. produced four songs on ‘The Emancipation of Mimi,’ Carey’s 10th studio album and most successful to date.ODB – Musical Collaborator
Since rapping ‘Me and Mariah go back like babies and pacifiers,’ Ol’ Dirty Bastard, the late Wu Tang Clan MC, helped solidify Carey in the world of hip-hop and R&B. The 1995 remix to ‘Fantasy’ became a number-one hit. The friendship between Carey and ODB lasted throughout the years. The songstress even met the rapper upon his release from jail in 2003.Mase – Musical Collaborator
‘Honey’ was Carey’s 12th number-one song. Before turning his life over to God and becoming a minster, Bad Boy rapper Mase appeared on the popular remix of the record, alongside the Lox and Diddy. The song, which also had its own video, was featured on Carey’s 2003 remix compilations, aptly titled ‘The Remixes.’Derek Jeter – Alleged Beau
Shortly after divorcing husband Tommy Mottola in 1998, the five-time Grammy award winner met New York Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter at a Fresh Air Fund gala in New York. The couple connected over their interracial parents – black fathers and Irish mothers. The public romance ended short of the one-year mark. In an interview with Parade magazine, Carey said “It was the wrong time. …Our two worlds were just too much for that moment.”Eminem – Alleged Beau
From ‘Clown’ to ‘Obsessed,’ Carey has documented her disdain for Detroit MC Eminem in her music. The ‘Glitter’ actress denies they ever slept together, but Slim Shady has consistently rapped that the two were intimate. The rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, sent threats to Carey via the 2009 diss track ‘The Warning,’ which was directed at both Carey and her husband, Nick Cannon.Nick Cannon – Husband
Nick Cannon, 28, dated singer-actress Christina Milian and was even engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Eubanks for five months before becoming Carey’s second husband. In 2005, he convinced the Teen Choice Awards to let him present Carey’s award for ‘The Emancipation of Mimi.’ Two years passed, and the couple was reunited in 2007. Their whirlwind romance resulted in a quickie wedding in 2008 at Carey’s Bahamian estate, Windermere. -

Kandi Burruss: ‘Real Housewives’ Star Ex-Fiance Dead After Club Brawl
Filed under: Music, Television, News
‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Kandi Burruss‘ ex-fiance Ashley ‘A.J.’ Jewell was killed after a fight outside popular Atlanta strip club, The Body Tap, late Friday night. He was rushed to Piedmont Hospital, where he later died.
Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows confirmed, “It appears he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and received a severe blow to the head.”
Meadows said that the police have developed a person of interest in the case, adding, “we’ve made contact with him to question him about the incident.”
(SEE ARREST UPDATE BELOW.)
The Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter’s publicist, Lisa Nelson, confirmed to WSBTV.com that Burruss was “stunned and speechless” and that “the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult time.”
Burruss, a former member of the platinum ’90s R&B group Xscape, recently revealed that she and Jewell split.
The couple, who were engaged earlier this year, have chronicled their relationship on the Bravo reality show ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.’
Burruss is also currently raising Jewell’s twin daughters.
“AJ’s murder is horrific, not only for his family, including the six beautiful children he is leaving behind, but also for Kandi, who obviously still loves him despite their broken engagement,” Atlanta-area entertainment journalist Isoul Harris, who has a professional friendship with Burrus told BV Newswire today. “Also, this is another case of senseless violence that’s not only rampant in Atlanta, but all over the country.”
UPDATED, 11:33 a.m.: Police told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper that they have charged Frederick Richardson with voluntary manslaughter in the beating death of Jewell. Richardson is currently hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the fight. He will be jailed once released by medical staff. Though the cause of the fight is still unknown, police confirmed that witnesses were cooperating.
‘It’s a great thing that a suspect has been arrested in this case,” Harris added. “It surely brings a little comfort to his friends and family.”
In the meantime, Burruss, who’s a single mother of one daughter, took to Twitter.com early Saturday morning to break her silence about the tragic loss. “I’m bout 2 give my swollen eyes some rest now. I just wanted to say thanks 2 everyone for their prayers. I gotta get up & go 2 my uncle’s funeral. I could never in a million years imagine this happening.”
The Atlanta native, who also changed her Twitter profile picture to a flick of her and Jewell, ask fans to remember Jewell leaves behind six children. “Please pray for AJ’s children, that’s who im the most concerned 4. Im just in one of those moods where I dont wanna talk, I dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. I just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone.”
“Right now, she is just trying to wrap her head around the fact that he is gone,” Harris concluded.

Jay-Z Pisses Off His Racist Neighbors
Posted by: KanYeezy
Jay-Z, knowing that his neighbors didnt want him in the building, decided to get back at them.
He told BBC radio, “My neighbors didn’t want me in the building. It was a whole big thing; it was really racist. They didn’t want me in so I bought the biggest place there. They have a board and voting is based on how much of the property share you have, so I have the biggest share and I go down just to vote on things I don’t care about just to tick ’em off.” He continued, “I guess they think I’m having parties and there’s shootings going on, but I have normal breakfasts and lunches. My friends come over accountants and bankers & and I make them all wear black so the neighbors think they’re gangsters. It’s fun.”

Beyonce: The Muslims Have Problems With ‘Sexy Performances’
Despite an abrupt cancellation of her 2007 concert in Malaysia, due to protesters threatening to disrupt it because of her sexual image, Beyonce Knowles will finally take the stage on Oct. 25 in the country’s biggest city, Kuala Lumpur.
However, according to the Associated Press, the Grammy Award-winning superstar still isn’t receiving the ‘Diva’ treatment that she’s accustomed to: earlier this week, beyonce Sabki Yusof, head of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, stated that his organization would send a protest note to the government over the singer’s show.
The country enforces and requires all female performers to cover up from the shoulders to knees with no cleavage showing.

“We are not against entertainment as long as it is within the framework of our culture and our religion,” Yusof said. “We are against Western sexy performances. We don’t think our people need that.”
Sounds like Bey may be too ‘Bootylicious’ for Malaysia’s own good!“Not many people outside of a President or a government official get welcomed to a country with a mass protest,” black celebrity blogger Natasha Eubanks (and owner of the popular website Young, Black & Fabulous) told Black Voices. “For that reason alone, Beyonce and her Sasha Fierce glove need to make their way to Malaysia and give the best show she’s ever done. Just because she can. Chick’s not about to pop out Shawn Jr.’s anytime soon, so I need something other than her bedazzled lace-front [wig] to gossip about.”
Although Yusof and his organization attempts to protest Knowles, her website has confirmed her performance in the Muslim-majority country: “Beyoncé for the first time ever has decided to make Malaysia part of her ‘I Am’ World Tour.”
Luckily for the ‘Dreamgirls’ actress, she’s not the only artist to experience backlash from Islamic activists and their strict dress code. Most recently Muslims in Malaysia were banned from attending the Black Eyed Peas‘ concert, which is scheduled for this weekend, because it was sponsored by Irish beer giant Guinness. The ban has since been lifted and the company will not be allowed to sell its beer or use its logo in publicity material.

3/3/09: Diddy
When it comes to making an event out of an album, Diddy sure knows how to put on a show. And for his forthcoming project, ‘Last Train to Paris,’ the multitalented mogul is following in the vein of Prince‘s classic flick and album ‘Purple Rain.’ “It’s definitely going to be an album you can seamlessly see,” he recently told MTV News. “Not after the fact. When you get the album on that day, September 22, you will be able to see the whole album on your computer. … You know how when you’re on your computer and you’re listening to an album, you have your screen saver on instead of screen save, you’ll be able to see the album in motion. And the presentation of the album will be different from the videos.” Hopefully, Diddy will make it in time on Sept. 22 to catch the ‘Last Train to Paris’ once the album hits stores.Kevin Mazur, WireImage
3/3/09: Janet Jackson
Recently there has been speculation that Janet Jackson was likely to sign a new multirights deal with Live Nation. However, contrary to reports, Live Nation senior VP of communications John Vlautin denied the claim. “We have not signed a deal with Janet, nor are we currently in discussions with the artist,” Vlautin said. Jackson departed from her former label, Island Def Jam, in September, 14 months after signing to the record company. The Canadian Press / AP
3/3/09: Black Eyed Peas
Despite previous reports that Grammy Award-winning pop group Black Eyed Peas would release a new album, ‘The E.N.D.’ (The Energy Never Dies), in March, it now appears Will.i.am and company will release the project on June 9. Billboard reports that the album’s first single, ‘Boom Boom Pow,’ will soon be released, and that the group is planning an international tour. Will.i.am, the Black Eyed Peas front man, described the album as having “a lot of dance stuff, real melodic, electronic, soulful. We call it, like, electric static funk, something like that.”Peter Kramer, AP
2/27/09: MC Hammer
MC Hammer is back! This time the multiplatinum-selling rapper is heading to network television for his new unscripted A&E reality series ‘Hammertime.’ Hammer’s new half-hour series will feature Hammer, his wife and five children – reminiscent of the Huxtable family from ‘The Cosby Show,’ says executive producer J.D. Roth. “Here’s a dad with five kids, married to the same woman for more than 23 years, living in the same place where he grew up and going to church every Sunday,” Roth says. “He’s had his ups and downs, and it’s what makes him such a character you root for.” MC Hammer’s ‘Hammertime’ is set to premiere on A&E later this year.2/27/09: Jazmine Sullivan
Although she didn’t walk away with an award at this year’s Grammys, singer-songwriter Jazmine Sullivan is bound for Hollywood for her upcoming film ‘Red Tails.’ According to Billboard, Sullivan will travel to Prague to start shooting the film, which is based on the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. “I play a singer who entertains soldiers,” she said. “I’m really just entertainment for them, but I kind of get a little relationship going with one of them. So that’s very exciting.” As for now, Sullivan has an exciting relationship going on with R&B crooner Ne-Yo — on tour that is. The two are currently touring through March 1. At press time, there was no release date for ‘Red Tails.’Charles Sykes, AP
2/27/09: Tupac
With the Notorious B.I.G.‘s biopic in the can, fans are now anticipating a biographical movie on his rival Tupac. Unfortunately, fans may have to wait a little longer before a Tupac flick hits the silver screen. A legal dispute has surfaced involving the production company Morgan Creek and Amaru Entertainment, the company run by Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur. The lawsuit, which was filed by Morgan Creek, states that Amaru Entertainment reneged on an agreement to sell the rapper’s life rights for a movie. Amaru Entertainment released a statement clarifying the recent media reports: “This lawsuit has no merit. We felt it was important to bring the story of Tupac Shakur, one of music’s most remarkable icons, to life onscreen, and in realizing this vision, we sought to find the best partner who would be true to Tupac’s vision and bring his unique story to life on the big screen. In doing so, we have taken every step to ensure that our partner in this process is committed to the integrity of Tupac Shakur’s legacy and, more importantly, that they are the right people. To that end, we have been in discussions and negotiations with several major studios and production companies, including Morgan Creek Productions. However, at no time did we have an agreement with Morgan Creek.”Time Life Pictures / Getty Images
