    Jason Richardson and the Phoenix Suns had no trouble putting their only loss of the season behind them, even against unbeaten Boston. One game after going scoreless for just the third time in his career, Richardson had 34 points and 10 rebounds to lead Phoenix to a 110-103 victory over the Celtics on Friday night.

  • Magic hand Suns first loss, 122-100 (AP)

    Ryan Anderson admits he's been joking with Rashard Lewis about who will be the Orlando Magic's starting power forward when the All-Star returns from suspension. For now, it's no joke: Anderson is filling in just fine. Anderson had 20 and 10 rebounds, Dwight Howard scored 25 and the short-handed Orlando Magic defeated the previously unbeaten Phoenix Suns 122-100 on Wednesday night.

  • Colts starting LB Hagler out for season (AP)

    The unbeaten Colts have lost starting linebacker Tyjuan Hagler for the rest of the season with a ruptured biceps. Coach Jim Caldwell said Hagler was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Second-year linebacker Philip Wheeler and undrafted rookie Ramon Humber are expected to replace Hagler. Indy also will promote rookie linebacker Cody Glenn to the active roster from the practice squad.

  • Ravens hand Broncos first loss, 30-7 (AP)

    The Denver Broncos went from unbeaten to overmatched during a 60-minute beatdown by the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie Lardarius Webb returned the second-half kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown, and Baltimore ended a three-game losing streak with a surprisingly easy 30-7 victory Sunday. It was Denver's first loss under rookie head coach Josh McDaniels.

  • Brees torches Giants as Saints win 48-27 (AP)

    Who dat knew them Saints were this good? Drew Brees torched the Giants' league-leading defense, swarming Saints defenders ruined Eli Manning's homecoming and undefeated New Orleans matched its best start since 1993 with a 48-27 throttling of previously unbeaten New York on Sunday. "We wanted to really dictate the tempo of the game the whole way through," Brees said.

    Mickael Pietrus scored 19 points and Dwight Howard and J.J. Redick each had 15 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a 102-83 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in a preseason game on Monday night. Howard also had a team-high 11 rebounds in 24 minutes as the Magic remained unbeaten in four exhibition games.

    A new start with the New Orleans Saints has put "the shake" back in 33-year-old Darren Sharper. The NFL's active leader in career interceptions added two more against rookie Mark Sanchez, returning one a club-record 99 yards for a touchdown to help the unbeaten Saints hand the New York Jets their first loss of the season, 24-10 on Sunday.
