    R&B singer Nivea went into labor with Lil’ Wayne’s baby on today and is expected to be having a son! Nivea has three kids with ex-husband music producer and singer The Dream, while Lil’ Wayne has 3 kids; 1 girl with ex-wife Antonia “Toya” Carter of the Tiny and Toya Show, one boy with actress Lauren London who became pregnant around the same time as Nivea, as reported in the highly publicized double pregnancy on HipHopRX.com, and another boy by another former video model girlfriend. Now Nivea and Wayne will be adding to his family with the addition of a new son together!

  • Derrion’s Mother Speaks

    Shortly after a fight near Fenger High School, Albert said her son’s principal called her at her home in Mount Vernon and told her to come immediately.

    “They said he was trying to help another student and kind of got mixed in with the crowd of the fight and he was hit,” Albert said.

    Albert said she moved here briefly last year to take care of her mother. She brought along Derrion and her 11-year-old daughter.

  • "The Cleveland Show" Premieres Tomorrow

    Tomorrow night on Fox, Seth MacFarlane’s “The Cleveland Show” will be premiering its pilot episode. The spinoff of “Family Guy” is based soley on Cleveland, the black character from the previous show. 

    In the beginning of the series, Cleveland Brown and his son move from Quahog to the town of Stoolbend, Virginia. Cleveland has had enough in Quahog. He realizes he wants his own friends, his own sidekicks, and his own stories. He sets out to California, ends up somewhere else, and then winds up in his hometown of Virginia and rekindles an old high school flame with Donna.

    His newly introduced family includes his new wife Donna Tubbs (played by Sanaa Lathan), her teenage daughter Robert Tubbs (played by Regan Gomez), and her five year old son Rallo (played by Mike Henry). Cleveland Jr. (played by Kevin Michael) appears in the show at the age of 14.

    Cleveland’s new neighbors include a family of bears (Seth Macfarlane is the voice of the father), a hipster wanna be, a redneck couple and an English family (Seth Macfarlane is the voice of the father as well).

Burress was sentenced Tuesday to two years in prison after accidentally shooting himself in the thigh at a nightclub and later reaching a plea deal on weapons charges.

    Former Super Bowl hero Plaxico Burress apologized to his family and tearfully kissed his pregnant wife and young son goodbye Tuesday before he was led away to prison to begin serving a two-year sentence on a weapons charge.   • Pioneering Civil Rights Lawyer Dies

    ST. LOUIS (AP) ? Pioneering civil rights lawyer Margaret Bush Wilson, a former national chair of the NAACP, died this week. She was 90.

    She died Tuesday of multiple organ failure, her son, Robert E. Wilson III, said.

    Wilson, whose life passion was being a lawyer, had continued practicing law until June. She was the second black woman to pass the Missouri Bar after graduating from the now-defunct Lincoln University School of Law, a “separate but equal” institution that had been created for blacks in Missouri.
