  • Wizards hand James-less Cavs first loss (AP)

    Washington Wizards' Randy Foye(notes) (15) shoots between Cleveland Cavaliers' J.J. Hickson(notes) (21) and Luke Nevill(notes) (50) in the fourth quarter of a preseason NBA basketball game Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, in Cleveland. Foye scored 19 points in the fourth quarter to spark a Washington rally and led the Wizards to a 109-104 win.

    LeBron James wasn't around. His shoes were present. Mike Miller, wearing a pair of James' signature sneakers, made 5-of-5 3-pointers and scored 24 points, Randy Foye scored 19 in the fourth quarter and the Wizards handed the James-less Cavs their first loss of the preseason, 109-104 on Wednesday night.
