    Safety Ryan Clark got his wish: replacement Tyrone Carter took one to the house and Clark got to fly home with his teammates this time. Carter started in place of Clark as a precaution Monday night and made the big play that sparked the Steelers to their fifth straight win, taking the first of his two interceptions 48 yards for a touchdown in Pittsburgh's 28-10 win over the Denver Broncos.

  • Chiefs cut RB Johnson after suspension (AP)

    Larry Johnson's record-breaking career as a Kansas City running back is over. The Chiefs confirmed Monday that they had run out of patience with his off-the-field problems and released Johnson the day he was due to come back from his second suspension in a year. Johnson, who turns 30 on Nov. 19, was just 75 yards away from breaking Priest Holmes' team rushing record.

  • Injured Spurs PG Parker may miss a week (AP)

    Spurs guard Tony Parker is not expected to play Monday against Toronto because of a sore left ankle. The Spurs said Sunday that Parker's injury was a mild sprain that could sideline him for a week. Parker rolled his ankle Friday night in the second quarter of a loss at Portland. He did not return to the game.

    Looking appropriately disheveled after the workout, the children headed back home in the care of their nanny. Jackson’s daughter Paris and youngest son Blanket were also on hand.

Utley connected twice Monday night to tie Reggie Jackson's record for homers in a World Series, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Yankees 8-6 in Game 5 to avoid elimination.

    Drew Brees and the Saints are so good right now they can't even beat themselves. New Orleans overcame four turnovers for a second straight week to stay perfect with a 35-27 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night, matching the best start in franchise history. Brees, responsible for two turnovers, passed for 308 yards and two scores.

    Missing stars Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming, the Houston Rockets are counting quite a bit on their 3-point shooting early in the season. So far, it's only gotten them off to a 3-1 start. Rookie Chase Budinger scored a career-high 17 points and was one of four Houston players with multiple 3-pointers as the Rockets beat the Utah Jazz 113-96 on Monday night.

    Chris Brown Makes Comeback At Powerhouse

    This week has been quite busy for Chris Brown — to say least. On Monday, the ‘Gimme That’ singer officially announced the Dec. 15 release date for his forthcoming album ‘Graffiti.’ On Tuesday, Brown premiered his new video ‘I Can Transform Ya,’ in addition to taking the stage for a headlining performance at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse ’09 concert. The stress fracture could sideline the Oklahoma star for six weeks, the team announced, promising further information Tuesday.

All of his coaches will return except for Hal McRae, who will be replaced by the former star.

    Jason Campbell will remain the Washington Redskins starting quarterback. Campbell was benched at halftime of Sunday's 14-6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

  • Garner among 10 to interview with Astros (AP)

    The Astros will interview 10 candidates over the next week to become the team's next manager, including former skipper Phil Garner. Houston fired manager Cecil Cooper on Sept. 21. Third base coach Dave Clark was promoted to interim manager for the final two weeks and the team said Monday that Clark will be the first man interviewed for the full-time position.
