The unbeaten Colts have lost starting linebacker Tyjuan Hagler for the rest of the season with a ruptured biceps. Coach Jim Caldwell said Hagler was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Second-year linebacker Philip Wheeler and undrafted rookie Ramon Humber are expected to replace Hagler. Indy also will promote rookie linebacker Cody Glenn to the active roster from the practice squad.

Washington Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels is out for the season, and linebacker H.B. Blades and cornerback Byron Westbrook are recovering from knee surgery. The Redskins made the expected move of placing six-time Pro Bowl lineman Samuels on injured reserve Saturday. The NFL fined Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis $25,000 on Friday for two separate plays, including a helmet-to-helmet hit on Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco.
