    The Denver Broncos went from unbeaten to overmatched during a 60-minute beatdown by the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie Lardarius Webb returned the second-half kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown, and Baltimore ended a three-game losing streak with a surprisingly easy 30-7 victory Sunday. It was Denver's first loss under rookie head coach Josh McDaniels.

  • Broncos sign ex-Dolphins DL Holliday (AP)

    The Denver Broncos signed veteran defensive lineman Vonnie Holliday Saturday, the same day the team trimmmed its roster by releasing 12 players. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Holliday had 3 1/2 sacks last season for the Miami Dolphins. Defensive lineman Tim Crowder was among the players cut Saturday by new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels.

  • McDaniels: No trade talks over Marshall (AP)

    Moving to quell rumors, Denver coach Josh McDaniels said Wednesday the team had not held any talks involving a trade of suspended Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall. "We're looking forward to having Brandon back on Sept. 6 and starting our preparations for Cincinnati with him," McDaniels said.

  • Broncos suspend WR Marshall for conduct (AP)

    Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall, openly unhappy with the Denver Broncos, was suspended by the team for the rest of the preseason for what coach Josh McDaniels called "detrimental" conduct. Marshall, who has brooded since demanding a trade and asking for a new contract, was informed of the suspension by McDaniels on Friday.
