  • Jennifer Hudson: Ready For Baby Number Two

    Jennifer Hudson wants a dreamgirl of her own.

    The Academy Award-winning actress/singer just gave birth to her son David, but is already excited to have baby number two.

    The former ‘American Idol’ finalist told Access Hollywood, “Maybe one more, I’d like to have at least one more, a little girl.”

    “I want a girl and then maybe another one,” she continued. “You know, one baby at a time.”

    According to TV Guide.com, Hudson is set to perform some of her favorite Christmas songs on an ABC special holiday special.” In it, she returns home to Chicago to visit with family members, friends and some of her childhood influences.

    And, though she has bounced back from last year’s tragic loss of her mother, brothJennifer Hudsoner and nephew, the 27 year-old and her fiancé, ‘I Love New York 2’ contestant, David Otunga have yet to decide what city to call home.

    “That is where all the family is,” Hudson said of the Windy City. “I feel like he should be surrounded by family. That’s where the biggest support system is and if we live somewhere else, then we will have to bring the family wherever we are.”

    ‘Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home for Christmas” is slated to air on ABC in Dec.

  • RIP Mermaid Girl

    Yes, it is a sad day. The ten year old little girl, named Shiloh Pepin, known as the mermaid girl has died. The little girl was born with a disease known as mermaid syndrome died on Friday after catching a cold that progressively worsened until she had pneumonia. The girl when she was born was not expected to live more than a few days, but somehow she managed to live on til the age of ten. A story of strength and courage to be sure.

    The little girl won the hearts of many after appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show and having her own documentary on TLC. Shiloh never had the surgery that could separate her legs from each other. Her legs were fused in such a way that major blood vessels would have been damaged and the operation would have caused her death.

    Her mother had the following to say about her daughter Shiloh “She was a tough little thing.” I think that right there is an understatement. Rest in peace, Little Mermaid. \

    A high school football player is being hailed as a hero off the field for disarming a girl who brought a gun on a Mississippi school bus. On the way to Yazoo County High School on Tuesday, a girl pulled out a loaded gun and walked up and down the bus aisle, among 22 kids on board whose ages ranged from 5 to 18, authorities said. The 14-year-old girl ordered the bus driver to pull over and the driver did, they said.

    Jaycee Lee Dugard, an 11-year-old girl abducted from her South Lake Tahoe home in 1991, has been found alive in the Bay Area and two people reportedly have been detained in connection with the case.

    The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office this morning confirmed the identity of the 29-year-old woman who walked into a Bay Area police station claiming to be Dugard.

    Further, in an extraordinary sequence of events today, federal and local law agencies renewed their focus on the 18-year-old mystery surrounding what happened to the blond, blue-eyed girl who was abducted while walking to school June 10, 1991.

    Reports out of the Bay Area indicated a man and a woman were in custody in Martinez and that a search warrant was being executed at a home in Antioch.

    These days, Kiely won’t date celebrities. “I need to be the center of attention!” jokes Kiely, who will celebrate her first anniversary with her current “not famous” boyfriend in October.

    Kiely adds, “It’s hard to see how two artists who are building their careers can really date. They’re going to be constantly hogging the spotlight.”
